Prime Minister Imran Khan stressed on the need of accountability in the country marred by the corruption epidemic.
“Accountability is our cornerstone without which our country cannot survive,” said PM Imran Khan, while addressing civil servants on Friday.
The premier was of the view that corruption has weakened the institutions that has ultimately hurt the country. Pakistan is struck in a classic debt trap, he said, adding that the only way get out of it is by changing politically and bureaucratically.
“Pakistan is paying Rs 6 billion everyday in interest on our loans,” stated the PM
PM also stressed on strengthening the accountability institutions of the country, terming it the reason behind West success. “Third world countries are poor because of corruption,” PM Imran asserted, who also called for reforms in the bureaucratic structure.
